Hello From Bonnie Scotland - Strange Photo

Hi, please be gentle! I am not sure if this is the best place to post an image that I took of my cat. However, I was wondering if anyone can offer an explanation for the strange anomaly that has made an appearance in my photograph? It was shot on a DSLR fitted with a zoom lens.
