Files recovered AND unreadable.

I admit it was my wrong decision to use Robocopy without required care. I used /MIR handle hoping it wouldn't bother the existing folders in the destination folders .. Yet, it did ...

This Robocopy option sees to it that everything looks the same in the destination folder as in the sourse if not otherwise specified so it deletes everything which stands in its way.

Recuva found ALL the files and saved them to a specified destintion. Curiosly, some files were restored with duplicates and most of these files although having the correct size seem to be just zeroed digital blanks and I've no idea what zeroed them. Is there an explanation and perhaps a recovery possibility for this ?
